I’ve officially been attacked by the left.

Here

The point I made was that Jefferson, being a believer in states’ rights, would be considered a right wing extremist.

My argument, sir, had nothing to do with terrorism.

The fact is the footnote on page 2 of the report defines right wing extremists as the following:

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

Perhaps I was a little melodramatic; I am, after all, a right wing extremist.

  1. Thank you for the mention.
The melodrama continues. “Attacked by the left”. I’m a person, not an ideology. Geez.

Secondly, the footnote is attached to a phrase “domestic rightwing* terrorists“ ….. it is pointing out that there may be anti abortion groups, anti government groups, single issue groups who may want to cause terror. Those are the extremists. If you are a Right Wing Extremist, then you oppose abortion, oppose government interference and oppose gun control…and you plan to use terror to get your point across. Only then, does the document consider you an extremist. In the same way that as a leftie I’m anti-tax breaks for the rich. But I wouldn’t want to cause terror to advance that cause, and so i’m not an extremist, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
